Subway tile is a reasonable design choice. By adding a scroll tile detail that compliments the farmhouse sink, it ties together all the design elements which create texture and pattern. The counter top is a solid wood product which was chosen for its traditional appearance and durability. The matte finish of the counter was a personal choice and seemed more in keeping with the era of the home.
