Opening up the kitchen, dining and living room in this detached home to create an open plan living space was just what this growing family needed. Choosing a clean white for the main kitchen cabinets, it is the perfect foil to the deep, rich blue of the island. With the bar cabinets and the feature wall in the lounge area painted in the same F&B Pitch Blue the owners have created a striking modern feel that still reflects the traditional design of the house. Aged brass handles and matching tap and a warm rich oak parquet flooring all add a touch of warmth to the cool colour scheme. The colour combination is again picked up in the patterned tiled splashback behind the hob. With the matching side by side single oven, combi oven and warming drawer set beneath, this gives the functionality of a range cooker but with the added benefit of a built in microwave as well. A large American fridge freezer and fully equipped larder provide ample storage for both fresh and dried food. The bar area features a built in 2-zone wine cooler for storing both white and red wines at the correct temperature, with a cupboard alongside for spirits and mixers. A glass cabinet above, painted inside with the same cool white LGPC Shirting as the main kitchen is the perfect pace for the champagne flutes and wine glasses.
