Photographer : Shamanth Patil The master bedroom has been designed to be low profile and continues with the theme of wooden panelling. The king sized bed incorporates a storage alcove in the head board for all those little bedside needs to find a neat and organized space. The entertainment wall is clad in wood with a mounted TV and ample space to store books, curios and an expansive charging point. The low profile bedside tables hold free standing lamps for those late night reading sessions that don’t disturb the partner. A sliding door in-built wardrobe with modular storage options is also a part of the bedroom and is done up in white lacquered glass.

Truth: we like camping more than living our “real lives,” so we decided to take a stab at achieving a campsite feel in the bedroom. Full moon, bonfire, sticks, camp blankets, triangular mirrors that subtly suggest mountain peaks… you get the idea. The sticks are from bigger hikes we’ve done in Olympic National Park and Glacier National Park. Image: James Stewart

1950's mid-century modern beach house built by architect Richard Leitch in Carpinteria, California. Leitch built two one-story adjacent homes on the property which made for the perfect space to share seaside with family. In 2016, Emily restored the homes with a goal of melding past and present. Emily kept the beloved simple mid-century atmosphere while enhancing it with interiors that were beachy and fun yet durable and practical. The project also required complete re-landscaping by adding a variety of beautiful grasses and drought tolerant plants, extensive decking, fire pits, and repaving the driveway with cement and brick.
