The powder room, though small, can hold its own within this house, The large hex tile in the shower gives it something special. But the use of the ornate tile in the center as a rug that's surrounded by the penny rounds is something special. No detail is too small and that is seen with the subtle wave in the mirror.

CB | Residential Projects | Willard Street Residence 1 CARY BERNSTEIN ARCHITECT Willard Street Residence, San Francisco, CA (2006) A 500sf third floor added to a small house on a wooded site makes a new Master Bedroom and Bathroom a tree-house aerie. Skylights bring sun from above to wash rooms in light which would otherwise be shaded by the surrounding trees. The palette and minimalist detailing of the new addition is continued in the renovation of the Kitchen and lower stories. This long and narrow bathroom (typical on the north side of Chicago) was remodeled using industrial grade bamboo wood flooring in espresso brown, white Bianco Carrera 12” x 12” marble tiles and traditional Kohler Memoirs toilet and pedestal sink.
