This contemporary project is set in the stunning backdrop of Los Altos Hills. The client's desire for a serene calm space guided our approach with carefully curated pieces that supported the minimalist architecture. Clean Italian furnishings act as an extension of the home's lines and create seamless interior balance.

This custom home is derived from Chinese symbolism. The color red symbolizes luck, happiness and joy in the Chinese culture. The number 8 is the most prosperous number in Chinese culture. A custom 8 branch tree is showcased on an island in the pool and a red wall serves as the background for this piece of art. The home was designed in a L-shape to take advantage of the lake view from all areas of the home. The open floor plan features indoor/outdoor living with a generous lanai, three balconies and sliding glass walls that transform the home into a single indoor/outdoor space. Our clients bought the top floor of the world-renowned former pottery and brewery as an empty shell. We were commissioned to create a stylish, contemporary coastal retreat. Our brief included every aspect of the design, from spatial planning and electrical and lighting through to finishing touches such as soft furnishings. The project was particularly challenging given the sheer volume of the space, the number of beams that span the property and its listed status. We played to the industrial heritage of the building combining natural materials with contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories. Stark and deliberate contrasts were created between the exposed stone walls and gnarled beams against slick, stylish kitchen cabinetry and upholstery. The overall feel is luxurious and contemporary but equally relaxed and welcoming.

This elegant master bath in a newly built lakeside home gives the homeowners wooded outdoor views while enjoying a relaxing soak in the tub. The his and hers vanities are all drawer storage. Recessed medicine cabinets are framed with matching Wood-Mode moldings and house hidden electrical outlets for razors and toothbrushes. The angled wall was designed to improve flow in the space and provides the perfect home for the oversized mother of pearl mirror. The Rainbow Close, Antique mirror and custom designed mullions accentuate the elegance of the linen cabinet.
