Antique Remodel in Dedham MA

We started with a kitchen remodel that included removing an inoperable fireplace that was installed at some point to house duct work for the HVAC system. The top of the fireplace was a return for the HVAC system so a gas or electric fireplace could not even be used in the space. The entire unit was dismantled, the duct work was reorganized and a new electric fireplace was installed surrounded by shiplap, a new mantle and new sconces. Above the fireplace to the right were old bookshelves where we created new built in bookshelves with storage, new baseboard and crown molding. The finishing touch was to wallpaper the back of the exposed shelves in a whimsical wallpaper. The results were totally transformative!
