Antique Chinese Elm Painting Table

Shanxi, circa 1820 This lovely old table still has traces of the original thick dark lacquer on the top surface, with a wonderful crackled patina. The wood underneath is elm with a central panel fitted into thick surrounding frames. It is in a very original condition and oozes character. It would make a real statement piece as a large console in a hallway or reception room.
