A lower worktop at one end of this kitchen island provides an ideal display area. Using a dark stained Oak here makes a feature of this section and defines it from the rest of the island. Power supplies on an island are sometimes over looked but as this tends to be where most of the food preparation happens they are crucial in creating a functional working space.
