Hi Hari,

A polycarbonate sheet over the pergola can work to reduce heat transmission. It will allow light but only counter the heat. A more organic approach can be growing bushy vines all over, but it will take time to spread.

@Shristi Nangalia .. thank you so mush.what i am planning now is to use polycarbonate sheet in my truss work as you suggested above the pergola . but worried about the reduction in light intensity.
