Reply to: Hello all! I know this is an old thread, but I am also now considering Lagoon for my kitchen remodel and could really use your input! I have yet to see a sample in person, but thanks to GW have seen so many lovely pictures. For those who have it installed in their home, does it have any amount of brown/beige tone to it? We are definitely having our cabinets painted Alabaster white (SW) and our existing kitchen wall color, which we don't intend to change is Accessible Beige (also SW). We were hoping to do a taupe-y subway tile similar to this lovely home on Fixer Upper, but I am worried that Lagoon countertops may be too cool-toned/gray for this. Thoughts? We are not set on knobs/accessories, but are leaning towards oil rubbed bronze to add warmth. Thanks in advance!

Reply to: I had the Walker Zanger crackle glass tile in my shower about 7 years ago. Redid all of the walls in the subway tiles in green, a little lighter than these: but same type. Within a year they had all dulled. Turned out, they weren't suitable for shower walls. i guess the constant water gets in and dulls them. In defense of their company, after notifying them, they paid for the demo and all brand new tiles of my choice, plus installation. They are beautiful, as is your Gramercy park. Your;s will be fine as a backsplash. It's says so on the product installation guides. you can apply a sealer before you grout, as Cinar suggested. it will keep any residue out of the cracks. go for it! such a nice change from all of the 'over-used white subway' !

Reply to: I've installed the product long ago on a backsplash, sorry no photos to share :( Expensive product but beautiful. The crackle finish can sometimes absorb the grout coloring within the ''crackle'' so make sure your installer applies a grout release to the surface of the tile prior to grouting. This will allow the installer to remove all pigment of grout coloring from the surface of the tile when he is washing off the surface of the tile of grout.

Reply to: My selection summary says: "Waterworks 3X6 Subway tile ARC36DOVE". I must admit that I'm a little confused as to exactly what that means (it's been a few years since this project, and the project manager recently retired). Is Dove the color? I'm not sure - perhaps Waterworks would know how to interpret that. If you're looking for other good subway tiles, we have been using Jeffrey Court and Wizard a lot.
