saving this to remember the tile pattern -- the sort of fade out. wouldn't do in a kitchen, but in a bath or as part of a small-tile pattern on shower floor.

Q

Photo

not saving this for anything in the photo other than to say i've been noticing a lot lately that there is often a much increased distance between counter top and cabinet bottom/shelf bottom. creates more openness for backsplash.

Q

Photo

who would have though plywood could look so good !

Q

Photo

This is BRILLIANT - window backsplashes !!

Q

Photo

perfect example of what i DO NOT want. this is a three-step motion to get a glass. open L then R cabinet, then pull out drawer for glass access. i am a ONE-STEP person.

Q

Photo

the organizers make sense. but i do NOT want to bend all the way to the floor to get a plate. so this design is not realistic.

Q

Product

Miele

finally, someone raised the DW. I have always refused to buy the scraping-the-ground sorts of DW's and have opted for drawers. The appliance world finally got a brain. we almost never use a DW, so drawers do work fine for us.

agree with text - frig used tons of times a day and should be easily accessible in work area/triangle; freezer not a commonly used item and can be out of immediate work area.

Q

this is good -- miele steam, oven, warming in descending order. except where is the microwave. we use that a fair amount, so want it accessible. really do want to look into the steam ovens to see if are worthwhile.

Steam Oven With Convection Steam Cooking

Q

huge price but could be worth it for steam

i am always drawn to these Wolf ranges. tho i'd like to have a stove top and separate wall ovens, this always catches my eye. this shows the modular freezer and frig you were talking about. this might be a good idea. don't need a freezer that large, but i do not like lower drawer freezers -- prefer side-by-side. maybe we do frig in size shown and just 1/3 size vertical freezer and a produce drawer somewhere.

Pros: More manufacturers are making very specialized sink systems, such as the galley sink. In units such as this one, everything from rinsing to chopping to serving (made possible by ice chest and condiment container inserts) happens at the sink. this goes with cons already listed with this photo under Kitchens

Q

Photo

i keep seeing a corner pantry entry, which I like. but imagine a table surface stored just under the stone surface on the island and that that surface pulled out and coupled with the free-standing table to create a very large dining table. hmmmm. had to create this new category to save additional comment since photo is already in album.
