Kitchen
Style wise, we like something on the contemporary side but not too out there. Simple is good. The Dayton style doors are likely what we would go with. The maple caramel doors are preferable at the moment but white is an option if we don't think they'll get worn down too quickly. I also have the cherry and oak samples on the way to us. If we do end up with wood, we don't want it to look too rustic.
We would like to try to get a 36" rangetop (maybe like this: http://www.amazon.com/GE-CGU366SEHSS-Sealed-Burner-Cooktop/dp/B00TA1Y25Y/ref=sr_1_2?s=appliances&ie=UTF8&qid=1462949134&sr=1-2&keywords=rangetop) and a 30" wall double oven (maybe like this: http://www.amazon.com/Frigidaire-FFET3025PS-Stainless-Electric-Double/dp/B00HFCMW3Y?ie=UTF8&keywords=double%20wall%20oven&qid=1462947855&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1). From a layout perspective, we would like to consider ideas that deviate from where the sink/range/fridge currently are. One idea is to make the longish section (the left side in the drawing) along the half wall a built in seat with a table that can push in and another bench or chairs on the other side. The opposite wall would be floor and wall cabinets and countertop that would naturally extend from where the stove is now. The end of that section next to the dining room could be a tall pantry cabinet.
For hardware, the naples satin nickel with the t-bar knobs our the leading contender so far.
