Another focal range backsplash idea with standard white subway in running bond layout. They did a border with a different tile inside and different grout color. I'm not too keen on the border relief or the inside tile selection. An idea would be to use pencil tile or cut down the subway tile to create the border. Then install "inside" subway tile in a herringbone layout with an even darker grout.
Another good storage place for odd sized items.
Nice use of space near oven wall. Unsure about heat penetration to this type of pantry storage area.
Like idea of having tall drawer to store odd shaped items: cookie sheets, cutting boards,muffin tins, etc.

Layout is very close to our current existing kitchen. This one has no peninsula however, they have added a small island. Upper cabinets are mounted higher on wall allowing for more space underneath uppers-this makes ceiling look short, giving the room a cramped feel.
The size of island is nice, adding additional prep space. The bank of drawers on only one side allow the island to look less massive. Not too sure of the butcher block top on this prep surface; it might not be as durable as I would need.
Nice cabinet with some glass insets on uppers. Looks about right size for what we were thinking next to walkway into great room. Might be good place for a “butler’s pantry” cabinet, serving as storage for plates, flatware, and table linens for eat-in kitchen or for a baking center.
The appliance garage (breakfast station with toaster...) behind the recessed doors to left of double ovens hides their clutter. Heat would be a concern as well as moisture if coffee bar is located here. The pull out storage next to ovens is intriguing. Upper is for glasses while lower is for trays.
Microwave mounted above counter provides a place to stage dishes on counter before and after use of microwave.

Another idea for focal backsplash above range. Here, a slightly contrasting 4x4 tile is laid on a diagonal inside a pencil tile border as well as grout that picks up a color in the 4x4.
