spanish interior
Mix rustic furniture with refined lighting. Well-worn wooden tables, benches and chairs can take a beating and still look great, making them ideal for a casual chic home (where you want to enjoy your life, not worry about damaging your furniture) — but that doesn’t mean you must forgo glamour altogether. In fact, it’s the interplay of rustic and refined that often makes for the most memorable interiors. Elegant lighting (chandeliers, statement pendants) adds opulence that cannot be harmed by small children, pets or overenthusiastic guests.
Carve out some of that dead space that isn’t deep enough for a full closet and use the inside for open shelves. The added visual depth will turn a plain wall into something more eye catching. Make it as functional as needed with baskets, books, a charging station and hooks for keys. Just make sure the opening is at least 12 inches wide, so something actually fits in the space and dusting is easier. A good depth for the open space is about 10 to 12 inches.
This is inspired by - but using bluestone and it leads the eye to the patio in the background! “Yatsuhashi” is a Japanese term that literally means “eight bridges.” Originally, eight wooden planks were laid out in a zigzag pattern, without railings and generally over a shallow pond surrounded by irises. Legend has it that this pattern kept evil spirits away, because the spirits could not make 90-degree turns. This belief led to the construction of zigzag bridges and paths on temple grounds.
TV above fireplace
Don't forget a medallion in the stairwell!
I like the transom windows fixed above the dining cabinet. You don't lose ALLL The light.
Could we do this on the lower side of the staircase?
Like the staircase railing
Maybe an unusual fixed window in DR would be a good focal point? ReStor
incorporate bulletin board
2 diff levels nice.
new dining room space now studio office
studio in house.
fun studio in house
studio next to kitchen,
Nice layout of FR where fireplace is on side and TV in front of you.
Tiny additional but functional windows for the side wall.
GREAT idea for staircase top!!!!!! The interior of the shelf could even be GLASS but it would still be cool!
Nice mix of woods and reclaimed wood for cabinets.

Houzz says I am TRADITIONAL in my style.
Sandro Ceo of LZF, this is the large link pendant. This veneer is called tulip wood, a member of the poplar family. Our coloured veneers have been de-coloured and then tinted with natural vegetable dyes.
Paper lanterns or glass ones would be a GREAT way to light up the hall to the garage & create a focal point while not being too expensive.
Great colors of cabinets and floor - good combo.
Nice color of door surrounds
Like the simple doorway frames - they're done in a color but there's nothing fancy about them in an expensive finishing treatment.
You could put in a triangle window in the DR to let light in above the existing windows...
What about a triangle window on the top above bookshelves. Vintage look and lets in light.
Great impact with windows. They're white too....hmmm...
Pretty contrast - neutral wall, nice color trim and wood door
Nice backsplash tile.
Nice simple bookshelves even at an angle.
I like these for the music room - only half can you see into the room
Really nice 2-panel interior door - simple and strong
2-panel with the bigger panel on the bottom
Doors are also nice wooden
2-panel door - like it.
Super fun! Pages as wallpaper.
Shipping pallette - with binder clips - great bulletin board for Laura's office.
Do a mirror simple framed door that's old-fashioned like this one and not tract like and then keep everything else plain and don't spend $$ on anything to show except accent tile, floor, windows - can light everything and keep a neutral color otherwise.
Like the clean look mixed with organic and dark dramatic windows against light walls
Organic modern is the style and I like its mix of white and natural with finished and rough beams
Where to repurpose the original front doors....
Nice fireplace redo above
Love the exterior texture of the pit - very organic. The fire pit was the final backyard project. The couple had intended to purchase a self-contained fire pit but realized there weren’t many that fit the look and price they wanted. So they had a board-formed concrete pit poured and topped it with ⅜-inch-thick cold-rolled steel.
Tomato red brings vibrancy to dark, overlooked spots. Wake up a built-in bookcase or china cabinet by painting the interior a fresh tomato red. Or bring a dash of glamour to a small powder room or closet by painting the interior in this warm hue.
