Robert's Ideas
Just as I am thinking about a smaller house at FIP... imagine looking over the pool to Great South Bay !
In which one of my fantasy houses would this sofa and the chairs not work ???
I wonder if I could buy this by the yard to hang over a bar... ?
For the Rantsch house... maybe add sidelights.
Art file - Motherwell?
General idea for the Asian house at FIP.
Variation on the seating units I like - with flange back pillows.
Light fixture... would work well over a dining table too.
The virtue of UNDER decorating...
Art file... but see the rest of this house too.
Art file.
Art file.
Axel would love it...
The table... any size, any shape. Like the light overhead too.
Impact comes from multiples...
Handy little gadget...
Love the simplicity. Now, go wild with the table settings. Or not.
I'm not at all sure why I like this...
...and then there is my ages-old fantasy of taking some old farm buildings and making them into a contemporary home... plus art gallery... plus indoor swimming pool !
It appears these are four corner units rather than two small sofas... an idea I have played with many times.
I'll never have a garden space like this, but let me dream...
Note beams running right down the walls...
Note the lighting. And then all ths needs is the Christopher Wool prints...
Play of curves against rather harsh straight lines...
Nice to mix unusual chairs with that table.
Like the whole package...
A happy reminder of George and Harry's, Wall Street, in New Haven.
I can see using a wall like this as an interior partition too...
Bedroom conversion - say, for the Rantsch house?
I miss NY -
Dark paint is so rich and elegant...
Simple and no junk stuck in with the books !!!
Just one of these chairs... to balance the settee in the LR - 11 Revere Drive.
How to make the best of a beam that cannot be removed. (Make lemonade?)
A great spot to read...
Forget the rug - check out the headboard !
Love the simplicity... almost monastic.
A fun simple guest room. I like much of this house for the graphic touches. Let's just 86 the taxidermy though... UGH.
I'm not at all sure I would copy this, but it's a fun idea to toss around...
Great reno... except for the fridge - looks lost, silly...
No idea where I would do something like this... but I like it.
What Lawn Ave. could have been... see all photos.
Just one of these tables would be a good addition to the goofy mix at 83. Note too, there are 4 armless seating units !
