This is something that might work, but perhaps unframed at the top and not level.
I like that it is open at the top.
Perhaps transition into a more rustic fence as it gets to the ravine.
Step/change in elevation.
This is plan B when the fence falls down.
I think the fence has to be able to adjust naturally to the elevation changes. I like the free form top of this.
