Jenny's Ideas
Great built-in seating/chair combo. I feel like this size might work for us. I don't want anything upholstered though... just wood (we can buy cushions). I also like how this backs up close to an island with seating, like ours would.- oooo YES ! that pretty close to the idea in my head. now I just have to draw it :)
I would really like to have just a bit of open shelving for mugs and glasses. We drink a lot of coffee/tea so use mugs all day long. I really like how these shelves fit up agains the other cupboard, and just generally like the look of this cabinet/wood color. - Great ! Totally see some open shelves in your future kitchen !
We don't know if this would be too busy, but we really like this tile. YES !!! beautiful backsplash. so .... I just got a quote for and this tile costs $110/per sqft. Jenny: oh, I definitely have a taste for expensive things that I don't end up buying. I'll look for something like this, but not as $$$. Yikes! No wonder I love it... :)
Interesting countertop.- Hard to tell but this could be paperstone
Nice color on cabinets. This seems like a way of having a double oven without having it take up an entire wall. I think we'd use a range like this! - noted
I love this multi-purpose island. I've never thought of having the sink/dishwasher in the island, but maybe this might work??? It would be really convenient! I also like the wood color and the lighting a lot, too. I feel like this is the right level of formality for us.
Question: Our kitchen gets very steamy/smoky. Is there a way we can have our stovetop vented to the outside? Not sure what's involved here.- I think we can :)
Yes!!! - YES for me too :)
I like the wood color and the kitchen sink on the island.
I don't know how this applies, but I love this look! - I do love that look too !!!
I like the clean simplicity of this cabinetry. I also like the different backsplash; it's different from the ordinary white subway tiles I see so much of. Nice height on the upper cabinets, too. I like the hardware, too.
I like this combo of wood, white paint, and colored paint. Maybe too white? I like the big window, too.
This is the right level of formality and I love the wood color. It looks warm & inviting, but casual.
We'd like to get a stainless, undercount sink. Very simple with a small garbage disposal section. Just a faucet though; no hot water dispenser. No apron front needed. I like the grooves for drainage in the countertop.
Would lighting like this work on the ceiling?
I like the lights & the island top. This reminds me of a kitchen I saw in Sweden and I love it!
I like the island top.
I like this island countertop a lot. I don't want the kitchen to be too busy, but I'm wondering about a wooden island top with different countertops.
What do you think of marmoleum as a kitchen floor? We have it in two bathrooms and have been happy with it there.
Nice & clean!
I love the clean lines here. A bit too much clutter on the shelves for my taste, but it's the right idea.
I like this level of formality (in other words, not very formal). I don't normally like painted cabinets, but I do like these a lot.
I really like this seating (not the table though).
We like the sneaky storage under the island (the part that faces away from the kitchen).
I like this combination of seating & chairs and moveable table.
I like this wood color.
I like this a lot but feel like the back needs to slope on the seats. I LOVE that the seats don't have cushions.
I really like this color -- just not this much of it. Maybe as an accent color for an island?
I like the height of the top cabinets and wood color (not backsplash though).
Wood color -- I don't want all doug fir cabinets because it'll be too dark and rustic looking (I think), but I'm wondering about having just a touch of it in a few places.
I love this color of wood (doug fir, I think??), counter, and sink.
I love the color of the wood & built-in seating.
Oh my gosh.... I love this!
This is the Luna Cord Pendant from Schoolhouse Electric (adjustable cord). There are a couple sizes... bigger over table? Possible configuration: 2 10" lights over island and one over table or is that too many globes? I still puzzling over this. By the way, this is the finish/cord color I'm thinking of.
