we showed our arcitect this because we loved the wide space between island and sink
we like things on the countertops being ableto be closed - hidden. Less permanent clutter the better so this door over the coffee maker is nice
this is close - the darker brown floor is what we want
there's a cabinet in the plan off the hallway east of fridge - this type of closeable desk/messy charging area seems correct for our family
really efficient storage is going to be key
