I like how you can tuck the seating all the way under this island so people could stand or sit, and don't have to work around chairs. Also like the color of it, and the countertop.

I love this exposed beam rustic look, but the rest of the house would need to make sense with it. However, I do also really like the butcher block countertop for the island, which I think can work even if the rest of the house wasn't rustic.

I really like the whole-wall backsplash as an idea to break up the look a bit. Also really like the cabinets and hardware in this picture. Very clean lines.
