Kitchen Reno
A good example of light floor, grey island, white surrounding cabs, light counters. Would I go black hardware or stainless like this kitchen? I like the warmth that the wood wine rack adds.
Saving this as an example of what a dark backsplash would look like.
Hmm. There's a lot of elements that I will put in my kitchen - black hardware, I like the blue glass pendants, white surround with grey island and light floor, floating shelves; yet the style is still way more modern with black windows and waterfall counter on the island.
Good potential model for our kitchen - grey island, white surround, white counters.
Love. The. Backsplash.
Classic. I like that it's bronze but dark
Of course this one is out of stock. Would I use this for over the island or over the sink?
Likes: Simple shape, substantial size, COLOR!, textured glass to camouflage dust; Dislikes...glass, bare bulb.
Mmm. Love. Dark (do they have it in black or at least darker). I'd be willing to deal with dust...
I'm just starting the hunt for lighting. Likes: Classic, dark for accent, not too traditional or modern. Dislikes: will it get dirty fast? Not sure I want bare bulb light fixtures, would rather have shades that cast light directionally?
Am I brave enough to do cement tiles on a whole wall? I'm not sure...I love how it looks in this kitchen; this kitchen is really rich in texture.
Now this feels like home. I really like the warmth and timelessness of the light taupe subway - it adds warmth without sacrificing the lightness of the room. I LOVE the inset of tiles over the stove.I wish we could bump into the wall like that but I know it's not going to happen. Just a tile "faux inset" might be nice.
The tiny rebel in me loves the quirkiness of the mish mash of glass pendants. I wonder if I could get away with that over my island, or over my sink?
I like that window over the kitchen sink! I wish we could do a patio door where our bay window is...maybe someday. I don't love the brackets for the shelves, I like floating shelves better. I also don't love the thick counters but I do like the overall light and airy feel.
I love the wood shelves against the white subway on the wall. I think this has good balance for the light floor with the white cabinets. I could see doing a countertop like this that is a little gray and not totally white
Colors are like what I will have - light floors, grey island, white cabs elsewhere, I like the black accents and I like that the backsplash is white and that it's a twist on a classic (but I don't love hexagons on walls, they're for bathroom floors in my book).
All glass uppers. traditional mullions.
Could I get away with a light fixture like that?
OK this confirms I don't want a blue backsplash.
How would that look if it was all glass? That's more upper cabs than I will have...
All glass uppers. Very traditional looking.
I like the doors with the perforated screens. Would everything near the stove get dirty though?
More glass cab doors.
Example of wood tone window trim, and lots of glass cab doors.
Aha. That's what it would look like if all my uppers had glass doors...
I lOVE the pendants over the island!
A bit of glass doors.
Simple mullion glass doors.
Love the arched glass doors.
No uppers near sink.
All glass doors on uppers
Example of kitchen with lots of glass doors.
Maple floor, light subway backsplash. I'd like this better with white countertops.
Black handles. Bigger subway, not quite white.
Good balance of white/grey/warmth
I kind of love that backsplash!
