This design is an interpretation of a French Country Chateau home that the client resides in 6 months out of a year. He and his wife both love to cook and enjoy the cuisine in Europe. The objective was to re-create that environment here in their Orange County home and provide then a setting to entertain friends and family while stateside. The custom cabinetry by Le Gourmet Kitchen was finished and distressed and is an accurate replication of an antique piece of French furniture owned by the client. The floors are reclaimed from a 15th century church, brought to the US, cleaned and installed throughout the first floor. The counter tops are White Carrara marble and the hood design is an original design based on a fireplace design in France. This home is being featured early 2107 in both Romantic Homes magazine and French Country Living magazine. The project was challenging and exciting to create and the clients were a dream! The Kitchen was featured in the April edition of Romantic Homes Magazine.
