Fountain Valley Kitchen Remodel
Our client, a baby Boomer, grew up learning to cook with her family from an early age. She wanted to recreate the feeling and nostalgia of the kitchen that has given her some of the fondest memories of her childhood. Incorporated in the design is a restored Wedgewood range that is the focal point in the room. The Vent-A-Hood ventilation system not only performs as you would expect, but the company also offers a beautiful retro styled hood that was a perfect companion to the range. The back splash is ceramic tile, a throwback to the era and provided by Revival Tile- Mission Tile West, made here in Southern California. We incorporated glass and mirror in the kitchen to open up the U-shaped layout and installed one of our custom 1 1/2" walnut counter tops surrounding the Shaw farm sink with stainless steel counters on the sides of the range. The project was fun and is full of several space saving features behind the cabinet doors and drawers. After completing the project our client found pictures of the kitchen of her youth and was shocked at how closely her new kitchen resembled it.
