This Irvine remodel was a challenge for many reasons, first it is a small space and the client is an avid cook. Creating enough storage space to accommodate all of the items that the client wanted to incorporate in the kitchen required the use of every space saving accessory with-in the cabinetry, i.e, Chefs pantry, Magic corner, Lazy Susan, Pot racks, etc. Secondly, the client is short in stature and providing a lower counter surface for ergonomic food prep was needed. The client could not lower all of the cabinetry because of the appliances and resale concerns. The original space was dark and we used glass and light finishes to give the space a larger and roomier feel.
