Transforming a relatively small space into a kitchen that could entertain a large group of people was challenging in this 1967 Deane Homes Chantaclaire model home. Le Gourmet Kitchen specified the Aga range for its compact size, oven versatility, and bold color to add to the design. The Aga features 4 ovens and 6 burners, giving the homeowner everything necessary to cook for their lifestyle. Le Gourmet Kitchen also incorporated a Miele steam Oven to offer more flexibility for the consummate cook. The ceiling was raised to 8' and a recess was added with a tin detail to balance the space. The Chantaclaire model features a brick wall that is the back of the living room fireplace. The brick wall was covered using Old Chicago Used Brick and Le Gourmet Kitchen installed Enclume wall racks to make pot and pan storage a display and easily accessible. The designer also used glass door wall cabinetry to add visual space and installed mirrors on the pantry doors to expand the room.
