Its a really lovely room! what a great place for kids to share. I like kids sharing rooms. I think you need another colour to tie it together. I would suggest a blue tone.... teal, navy blue, duck egg blue. to tie it together. Its a little to pale and looks sparse, but actually isn't. I would leave everything exactly as is, BUT, paint the back wall behind the bed teal and find a simple navy blue wall decal that is fun and kid- like maybe one with a sillouette of a boy and girl playing. I would paint the wall behind the sofa duck egg blue. Then I think it would suit both kids more and look more kid friendly. the blues will balance the pink and cream, but because you have a pale carpet i don't think it will look too dark. don't worry about making it totally kid like, its a room they will grow with, not a kindergarten, and it also needs to peaceful and restful for sleeping. besides with their art on the walls and bright toys everywhere it soon looks bright and kid like. Thanks everyone, I'm planning to get my floor tiled up soon, and then later the whitewash. So before all that, I wanna do away with the construction part, if required to transform this hideous corner. I had the roller blinds in my mind to hide these iron windows, but I will also look at options for changing them windows entirely if budgets allow. I might have to use some false ceiling work as well. Posters, I don't think can find space here, but a lounger sofa-bed is a surething with some nice lights. Please do share some pictures of the lights and loungers and floor tiles if you may, for suggestion. I'll be obliged. Thanks again!

You should broadly follow Vaastu as long as it doesn't upset the entire rhythm of a living space. There is no point in following all the diktats of Vaastu and finding it impractical when you are actually living in the space. It will be a constant source of irritation and THAT negative energy is far worse to live with. In my career I have found Vaastu consultants who also disagree with each other

Lighting plays a huge part in adding depth and warmth to a bedroom. I see that you have a light point just above your bed. Without too much expense you can create panelling up to the ceiling , run the wires behind it, and maybe and add a simple false ceiling along the length of that wall to install recessed lighting. A skilled carpenter can modify the head board and create a dramatic taller tufted headboard within the panelling Another option would be to paint the wall behind the bed and add a simple shelf above. Some recessed lights can be added to light up paintings on the wall just above the bed. The homeowners of the bedroom shown here already had a bed which they did not want to dispose of or modify. So all we did was to add painted pinewood box panelling up to 4 feet height, add a shallow display shelf on it, and add a simple shelf above with recessed lights
