Frameless shower with no header and door not hinged to wall?

I've been told that I have to use a header for my frameless shower unless the door can be hinged to the wall. But that's not the case here. Any suggestions?

Kristin, show the photo to a reputable shower door company.. they should be able to replicate the design without a problem.

I've heard the same thing. That it might wobble over time? Also, does this door swing both ways? How can I avoid hitting the shower head with the door? My shower is 40" by 48". the shower head and arm stick out 18". My door will be 28"... and attached to the wall nearest the head.

If you use 3/8" glass for the door and half inch glass for the fixed panel, it should not be an issue hinging off the fixed glass as shown. There are limits to the sizes you can use for both the door and fixed panel, but we hinge off glass all the time. As was said above, any decent shower door company should confirm this.
