A whole house fan is a unit that is located in your ceiling (most common) that will pull air in from the nearest open (door or window) and pull the air through the house, into the attic and out the ventilation system (most houses in the country have under ventilated attics, so this is very important to review prior to any installation). These units exchange the house and attic air quickly and efficiently in the summer so homeowners are less reliant on A/C, while using a fraction of the energy.

The AirScape fans are quite and have an airtight, insulated damper when not in use. These units are different than the less expensive units at a Home Depot or Lowe's, that use metal flaps that do not protect against heat loss or gain.
