I like this tile as well. Very sleek and mod looking. I would consider running it vertically instead of the picture horizontal pattern. It might give the illusion of more height in the shower surround. The color is great. If you are worried about it being "too much," you could always see if they have the same tile in a different shade and mix the two or doing one wall in a contrasting (lighter) color. I personally like it as long as you have good lighting.

So for this to work, you need to go back through my question and make sure you have answered all of them the best you can. Is the electrical outlet for the counter space going to be right next to the switch, or is it that blurred spot that I see in the picture, . If your walls are Travertine marble, and there are not already electrical boxes in the exact location the lights go, we are going to have a hard time. If a 30" vanity goes in the corner, and you leave 5" on each side for the lights, that leaves a 20" mirror with one light jammed tight into the corner. So if we leave another inch on both sides, for clearance, that leaves 18" mirror. If you put a 3" frame around the mirror mirror, that only allows for 12" of actual mirror. I don't think that is enough mirror. Your bath is too narrow for a mirrored cabinet with built in lights unless it is recessed into th wall. The plumbing is probably in the way for that. Give me your thoughts on what I have just said, and then go back and answer all my questions. Then we can take it from there with a narrower down and focused search.

We initially planned to renovate our old home. But during the middle of renovation work, we changed our mindset to build a new one. Hence we made a house design by ourselves(3BHK) with the help of our local builder and to save the cost we tried to reuse all possible materials that were extracted while demolishing our old home((i.e.., like red tiles placed on the top of left side of porch). The project is in last phase, now I feel that still we could do something to enhance the beauty of exterior of home by getting some ideas from experts. We just finished the painting of primer coating, yet to paint the final color. The pic you posted with color looks awesome, planning to paint the same color. Keya, glad you decided to take the one reader's idea about moving the armoires in front of windows that you don't need and giving the bed a wall of its own! And, yes, you can have Roman shades on one wall and layered drapes on the other. When I had drapes made for my tall sitting room windows/doors, I had them use the same fabric for the Roman shades for the smaller windows on the other wall. For me personally, in these older Indian homes with all the odd nooks and niches in the walls, perhaps it would be more soothing to have a light/med tone paint on the walls that blends with the drapes/blinds for an 'uninterrupted' look, and I would use the same color on ceiling and beams. (but that is just my thought) I would start the process with a large carpet with your favorite colors, then choose your Bedcover & cushions, then your wall paint and fabric for drapes/blinds ..Not certain what style you like, but if you really like a particular Ethnic bedcover fabric, you can always have them stitched into curtains or Roman shades too. Can't wait to see the "After" pics!
