I've been searching for a couple square feet of small-scale brass chicken wire for several years, but haven't found any that don't require me to buy a huge roll for hundreds of dollars. Does anyone have a source, or perhaps a bit of left over wire. I'm looking for half-inch or even quarter-inch weave. I want to restore a 150-year-old carved walnut wall-pocket from the Black Forest. My goal is to store wooden spoons in it above my kitchen range with something easy to see through.
