Thanks for enquiring. The marble slab is actually 1 complete slab cut into 9 pieces: 3 shorter ones at the top running in line with the cabinet valance; 3 long middle pieces in line with the top of fireplace; 2 along each side of the fireplace and 1 below. We wanted one entire slab in order to match the veining. No grout between, just 'kissed' the edges. BJ
