Comments (2)I don't think you can go wrong either way. I have white flat front cabinets with white counter and marble backsplash and I think it would look equally as good with a grey counter. Actually the one good thing about using grey over white is that you don't have to worry that the whites will be off in tone (my counter is warmer than my cabinets - not so much that it bothers me, but I can tell)....See Moregranite vs marble

Comments (2)As Skydell says, both will be cool to the touch. Marble is softer and more prone to scratches and etching. If you're looking for an easy care stone, granite is your best option. We generally recommend marble for lighter use areas such as bathrooms. However, as long as you know what it will take to maintain a marble floor, and are ok with the "patina" that it will develop over time, it can be a gorgeous option as well....See Moretanyaoz
