Comments (6)Colour...objects of interest...lighting...all add "energy' or we refer to as "movement" in a space. Interesting pieces of furniture with different textures and different "eye-levels". For instance, you can purchase 3 or 4 different forms of seating options...you are in India so you should be able to find FABULOUS furnishings for great prices. You could purchase a low-slung sofa, an extra large "floor pillow" (it would act as a chair or foot stool), a leather-covered round ottoman and an interesting crate/box with a slab of glass or intricate wood over top...this is your seating arrangement for the living room and will work as a great "hang-out" space that you can enjoy by yourself or with a tonne of people hanging around! With all that visual "movement" from one object to another to another, you will create interest! And "interest" is energy! But your best bet for energy...people!...See MoreNeed help to bring life to my dinning room
Comments (4)Maybe walls and drop ceiling could be painted in a vibrant accent color instead of more beige. Stripes are usually formal, more casual if not the same size. Chic could be achieved with silver and beige stripes - wide and horizontal. Here is an idea book on stripes and one on how to DIY. https://www.houzz.com/magazine/the-case-for-striped-walls-stsetivw-vs~225887 https://www.houzz.com/magazine/how-to-paint-perfect-wall-stripes-stsetivw-vs~3427677...See MoreNeed Help for My living/Dinning Room
Comments (3)Given your space constraints, I think it would be best to hang the TV on the wall that is common to the study/living room (just to the right of the door entry). You could get two or three small upholstered chairs for the living area (gives you flexibility in moving them around.) I would have a table surface hung so it can swing out and be used on the wall between the door and the opening to the kitchen. If hung with a hinge attachment so it can be flat on the wall when not in use, you still have space to move around. Backless bar stools could be lined up on that wall when the table is stored flat to the wall, and still be used for more guest seating....See MoreNeed help for my new drawing cum dinning room
Comments (7)You will need space to walk and for your feet if you turn the chairs around - if you put a divider in you will block the view from the dining table out to the balcony - and thus make the kitchen and dining room both have no view ! So if you keep it open, the natural light can get through !...See Morepankaj kanodia
