Does this door look dated?

I am in the process of having a covered porch built to connect our house to the garage. This is the entryway door from the garage into the kitchen. Yesterday the vendor installed this door and I thought it would be clear glass but it has this wavy texture to it. We are out in the woods and no neighbors are nearby so the privacy glass is not a huge concern for me. Initially I get big time 80s vibes from the door, but I’m wondering if it looks OK. Can you please help me determine if this looks dated or not? Should I have the door replaced with clear glass while it’s still in the construction phase?

The door feels modern and I feel the glass doesn't really have a big effect either way. Since you don’t need privacy and clear glass will let in more light, I’d replace if budget allowed.

There is nothing dated about it but it doesn’t seem to make sense in this situation.

Vikrant, is the picture taken from the front of your Entry door? I love your style and pieces. Just a few suggestions if this is the view when you first step into the foyer, I am not an expert! Ganesh in the place of the mirror to greet you and your guests as Goddess Lakshmi is supposedly behind him, will create more prosperity to the household. A recessed focal light from the ceiling to highlight its beauty. Another silver empty frame placing behind Ganesh, similar to the mirror to frame the idol or a Rajasthani silver jali work piece that way the wall behind would not look empty either! The beautiful mirror can be placed where you have the Ganesh now, that way the positive energy coming into your house does not get bounced back or out...

Its a really lovely room! what a great place for kids to share. I like kids sharing rooms. I think you need another colour to tie it together. I would suggest a blue tone.... teal, navy blue, duck egg blue. to tie it together. Its a little to pale and looks sparse, but actually isn't. I would leave everything exactly as is, BUT, paint the back wall behind the bed teal and find a simple navy blue wall decal that is fun and kid- like maybe one with a sillouette of a boy and girl playing. I would paint the wall behind the sofa duck egg blue. Then I think it would suit both kids more and look more kid friendly. the blues will balance the pink and cream, but because you have a pale carpet i don't think it will look too dark. don't worry about making it totally kid like, its a room they will grow with, not a kindergarten, and it also needs to peaceful and restful for sleeping. besides with their art on the walls and bright toys everywhere it soon looks bright and kid like. @Genevieve : that kitchen was too small they had an island inside ,the client insisted for the kitchen to be interesting that is why I came up with an yellow The walls were already there it was a very small opening with a door ..Then it was made open type for better space

The door reminds me of european doors from the 80's. Is it actually dated? Maybe not, but it's what I remember seeing, so my refrence goes there. At the same time, I am not sure a clear glass would be improvement. It's not like the glass shows into some amazing view. Personally I'd do a solid door. there.

No, it is not dated and yes, I would swap out the wavy glass for clear glass...unless you opt for a door with better insulation.

I'm assuming that the breezeway will be prettied up with blooming plants & foliage when the weather allows and maybe holiday lights, etc. during the winter so 'the view' will be nice to glimpse from inside.

It doesn't look dated. I, however, would like a clear glass door especially if privacy is not an issue. Nice to see outside. If you ordered clear glass, I'd make them install clear glass.
