I think you are talking about a vanity to put in the bedroom, not the bathroom. Is that correct? If it is correct, then I think your idea of cherry wood for the vanity is a good one. It certainly doesn't have to match exactly. In fact, we mix a lot of wood stains these days. If you're interested in a vanity for the bathroom, that's a totally different thing. I see part of the bathroom in the photos. You could have a faux artist come and paint the existing bath vanity to match your bed if you want to go in that direction. But you state that you want a modern bathroom, so maybe you have something else in mind. I've selected 4 different baths that might appeal to you. Surbhi, The width of the room is not mentioned here but from the scale it looks like it is ~8 ft. Effective living area would be close to 90-100 sqft . Grey and darker blue may not a be a suitable palette for this area. However, the tiling is already done. You may want to go for lighter shades for the remaining areas like wall paint (try 8260 Asian paints) and maybe brighter contrasts for sofa and curtains. But if you simply cannot remove the washbasin, replace this configuration with a decorative countertop version - a nice stone counter and earthenware basin as shown in the pictures. A more econimical, but not so pretty option is to leave everything as it is and add a low partition about 3'6" high on the left that shields the washbasin from view. You can continue the tiling (ideally a faux brick or slate- NOT white) across the niche on all three walls. Paint the door in a dark shade too -like charcoal grey so that it does not look bathroom-y. Add a wooden moulding around the door frame and paint

Hi! We are purchasing a house that has to have one and a half bathrooms demolished due to water damage from previous owner. We have gone around in circles but we've decided not to do tile because we are terrible at maintenance. We are at the point where we are seriously considering just the Swanstone surrounds. However, there is a local artist that does epoxy resin bathrooms and I am considering hiring her. I think it could be a little more expensive to hire the artist, but we could more easily also get the floors taken care of and also replace the counter and backsplash on the vanity, thus saving us money from having to replace that, too. Does anyone have any experience with epoxy resin bathrooms in terms of the maintenance and longevity? Thank you!
