Since the lot you describe is smaller than my open living area, I would suggest looking at some of the "shotgun" house plans around New Orleans,LA. I think you can build up and back and get an interesting home with a loft for space. It can be done, A porch with an entry to a narrow hall at the back might work best for you. Will you plan a courtyard (closed)? or what? What part of the country are you in? What are your local codes?

You should better go for a natural garden instead of an artificial one!! You really have a very good space to work on ! U can have a mdf wall panel (jaali work) like around 4'x8' installed on the main wall, lit artificially from the rear side. Then a row of planters sown at a ht of 2'.. then a l-shaped seater across it! Dear Kiran, It is a good idea of having a curvilinear false ceiling design for a living room plan like this. It will make your space look spacious as well as it will help create a character wall by accentuating the TV screen. The light colour palette will further make the space look harmonious and bigger. I am looking for Glass Hob, Vertical Glass Chimney and Built In Oven. I am getting mixed feedback across different forums so thought to reach here (impressed with some of the pointed comments so far). I am planning to choose between Bosch, Elica, Hafele and Faber. Can anyone please help ? I need to finalize it in next 3-4 days. I am purely going by the brand name (plus my previous experience with Bosch) so preferred the following 1). Bosch Glass Hob 2). Bosch Built In Oven (though it has aluminium burner but the one with brass burner 'Hafele/Elica' has the problem of making utensils black) 3). For chimney they do not offer 60cm Filter less chimney hence thinking to choose between Hafele or Elica. Please suggest if this is the right choice. Thanks in advance
