Need some colour here
Comments (14)Your room is big and void of color. Yes there is too much brown. If not replacing. Add light colored pillows big in a cream print. Add teal to mix. Get a 8 x10 area rug. Go cream base and a contemporary design in very bold colors, red, yellow and black, teals mix it up. Can you get regular chairs. Those look like game chairs, can they go in kids room? Pull sectional into room out of corner face TV wall. With big rug and a 36" ottoman square. In a color. Maybe zebra for fun. On TV wall. Get a wall to wall floor to ceiling or close to it wall unit. Ikea has some go white. Get. Long low media cabinet. Also Ikea in white. Place TV on top. Fill wall unit with colorful pots candles books. Just don't over do leave 50% empty. You could paint that wall a darker (2) shade of walls. After you have centered sofa in room more. On wall behind a very large art contemporary 40x40 hang very low. On empty wall in dining area. Get a long 6-7 ft chest. Something different. Asian feel red lacquered would be fun. Over it add big art piece bold colors 40 x40 hang 6" above top of cabinet. More art big by dining table. I would change chairs to a high back leather in Teal. Pier one has them. Your whole place needs color. Area rug under table 8 x10. Solid teal. Add big palms in corner to fill and warm up space. In chairs get two swivel barrel type in a print. Modern go taupe and blue/greens. Wi Dow panels on ends only in teal. Ck bed n bath. TJMax a good source. For art ect....See MoreNEED HELP FOR THE EXTREIOR OF MY HOUSE (under construction)
Comments (11)I agree that there is too much going on, however some of the suggestions are costly and in my opinion don't completely take care of the problems. I like the design approach it is fresh and updated. I agree that the chimney cap is out of proportion and just needs a simple band at the top. In order to make the exterior remain timeless over the years, Now Sit Down for a minute, I would make all of the exterior the white color. I know you love red however this will tie the different components of the architecture together more than any thing else. You can still have high gloss red doors and red tile pavers on the ground. It would also be very classy the use white tile in place of the brick look. You could even mix gloss white tiles with matt finish tiles to give an interesting sparkle when you ride by. I like the wrought iron upper railing, but the vertical blocking on the right side looks too heavy. So I would continue the same railing around the corner and back toward the house until it connects to the other balcony railing. This also ties the house together. It would look much more classic to not have a grid in the tall window and instead have a solid piece of glass down to the transom and then from there down be solid glass as well. Glass block in the courtyard column sections with back lights would look unbelievable. I would arch the closed in section on the second level as it would show up more there than the window being arched does, so save the money and don't arch that window. I would either hang a long contemporary light on the right elevation to dress it up or insert a long strip of glass block lighted from the interior to achieve the same effect. I charge for renderings, because I list the materials as well. Best, Leo Dowell Interiors.com...See Morehelp me with my room .. I am attaching all 4 side pictures!

Comments (7)I wish you all the best for your renovation. One of the most positive thing about the house is space looks convenient. To start of with the designing, 1. first let us start with a creating a focal point, now that the sofa Color is Blue, let us try creating a palette (photo attached) starting with blue, so we can paint white Color on the walls. 2. let us put on two mirrors on both sides of adjacent walls of the curtain which makes it look spacious and reflects light. It gives a cool effect. Even when the curtains are covered. 3. U many use a rug to match the Color of sofa and white walls. Make sure the rug is either beige or a combination of blue, white and grey hues. So that it complements everything well. 4. U may paint the wall behind the TV grey or give it a wooden panelling effect with wallpaper or tiles. That makes a focal point. 5. Increase the height of TV stand with Aluminium or Stainless steel rods, u will find them in the market and paint it white. (Photo attached)...See MoreValinta
