upgrade my living room

Hello

I am trying to upgrade my living room. I kind of don’t like the design of it since I cannot change the tv from its present place because of all the connections. I of course need to change the curtains and paint the wall. Could you suggest me how I could change the layout of the sofas and the floor sitting area in a pleasing manner. Would the tiles match if I would paint the wall white or light grey.

I wish you all the best for your renovation. One of the most positive thing about the house is space looks convenient.
To start of with the designing,
1. first let us start with a creating a focal point, now that the sofa Color is Blue, let us try creating a palette (photo attached) starting with blue, so we can paint white Color on the walls.
2. let us put on two mirrors on both sides of adjacent walls of the curtain which makes it look spacious and reflects light. It gives a cool effect. Even when the curtains are covered.
3. U many use a rug to match the Color of sofa and white walls. Make sure the rug is either beige or a combination of blue, white and grey hues. So that it complements everything well.
4. U may paint the wall behind the TV grey or give it a wooden panelling effect with wallpaper or tiles. That makes a focal point.
5. Increase the height of TV stand with Aluminium or Stainless steel rods, u will find them in the market and paint it white. (Photo attached)

we have to highlight so replace three seats sofa near to curtain and single seats one side another side one

you can have wall paper behind sofa. TV cabinet and low seating arrangement needs to be done by.

Also please replace the heavy maroon drapes with a lighter treatment. Maroon against parrot green is a really bad combination for interiors. Now that I am looking at it on my system, I confirmed that you also seem to have one pink wall.. If you are partial to strong colours, paint one wall a medium cobalt or jade green if you must, but leave the rest of the room off-white. However, I get the feeling from the photograph that there isn't enough natural light in the room. so it may be preferable to go with mushroom or sand on one wall and leave the rest of the walls off-white. And by that I mean a plain base white with just a touch of ochre stainer or turkey umber which still makes it look white, but warmer.

Hi Hiba,

First thing you need to do is change the wall appearance.

You can go for using a lively walpaper to cover up the wall, there is ample variety to choose from. If you are looking for a cheaper & a durable option, you can also look for PVC wall panels. Choose whatever fits best to your budget, just keep in mind the colors should not so bright, (white with a slight greyish or bluish touch will be good ) as sofa set is already dark in shade.

Change the curtains, replace them with sober light colors that will brighten your living

You can use the existing sofas as it, just have some stylish cutions made matching to the curtains you will use.

If you buy bean bags for a comfortable seating instead of floor sitting. That's quite relaxing to sit on and enjoy TV.

hello Hiba,
what I like to suggest is that first to remove the curtains with white one.
second the wall can be a little shade of green which goes well with the dark blue sofas.
third the layout of the sofa can be changed to like moving the three seater parallel to the window, face TV nd moving both single seaters to where the 3 seater was or as one on both sides of the 3 seater.
4th I would like to suggest that to buy a beanch or get it made nd place it parallel to the 3seat sofa. instead of the floor sitting bed.

You have unlimited options. At first, let the curtains be the same. Just open them in the middle and add a lace curtain, preferably white which will bring in the natural light into the room thus brightening it up. You could also decorate the solid blue colour curtains you have with tie backs.

For your furniture arrangement, you are limited to placing the 3 seater sofa towards the window wall and it's chairs as it's arms.

For your wall colour I advice whatever you choose make sure it's washable paint since you have a kid in the house.
