I love the wood detail towards the end of the island. Was it a design choice? Or was it to solve a problem in the size of the island? Also, what is the depth of the island?
Thank you! It was done for 2 reasons: 1- So that we could avoid a visible seam in the slab due to the length of the slab. 2- The clients wanted a space where they could face each other while having morning coffee. The lower functional cabinets stop at the point of the wood break, allowing for a fully open below waterfall slab detail.
