HI RinaI do agree I love jewelbox rooms, but I consider them more cosy ... and with a grey marble floor it goes all Versace Italianate! I am trying to balance the colours by bringing in a pattern on the covers rather than plain. I feel this will bring colour without overpowering the room. In the pictures I showed above, the rooms are basically neutral but the colour is brought in via pattern - I think this might be the way to go...Ideally a green or blue on a subdued grey would be the best, but I dont know what the market is like for Sumit...Cushions can do a lot to tie in the other white/grey elements.Shelley - navy is a good suggestion, but as Sumits area is quite tall and thin, trying to keep the general area light Any more suggestions most welcome. These are just ideas after all and Sumit will choose what works for the room in the end ;-)

If your question is around kitchen slabs. Quartz is an engineered stone. Basically wastage/chips of natural quartz stone is mixed with a resin and pressed into form of slabs. Hence the name - man-made or engineered stone. In day to day language they are commonly referred to as quartz slabs. Quartz and Marbles are two common materials used for making engineered stones. There is a groove at the centre, initially i was planning to place natural stone on that, thats why made a groove. but when i was having lunch , i found not enough space for keeping food/utensils. Due to small width, and if I increase the width of table top - both sides by 3 inches, it will suit me perfect. So if I place a clear glass on top, what should I place at the central part. How to manage that groove, I am thinking about putting stone pebbles. Another option - I can place glass at the center and for sides, can place stone slabs. Again, do you think, should i fix stone over there. It will fit the groove.
