You can opt for the frame work of solid wood or waterproof plywood , polish it , can install lights at cross section , I don't know about the size and shape of your room . This way you can have ceiling fan also at the location you want . Easy and simple solution. will look elegant as well

highlight tiles are really not in fashion. it was 5 - 10 years back. i would suggest go with the bottom less distracting simple design throughout. carry dark floor tiles up 3 inches on the wall as skirting. ensure the centre line of your shower fixture and its wall controls lie in the centre of the tiles. that would be your starting point. rest will fall in place. ideally the ceiling height should not be more than 8 feet. if its more you end up with an uneasy proportion. either do gypsum false ceiling at 8 feet or stop the tiles at about that height and paint the rest of the wall in dark grey or purple and have pendant light that throw light below 8 feet. good luck.
