In the US I would head first to Lowes or The Home Depot. I'm guessing you are on a tight budget. Designing a kitchen from scratch yourself is not really in your own interest.

Is this a split level home? If is that would seem to work (specially for the plumbing part). If not, this would be a little different to go up stairs for the kitchen, (that's the hang out area). Ken

But since you are looking for some statue you can go for good charcoal design with proper light arrangement, You can go for 3D wall paper with good decoration as per the design theme, pop work.., make a good frame and put inside brass work..all depends on what exactly you are looking at and how do you want that place to be utilized.
