Thanks for your help. I opted for an L shaped ready made steel stair case for ground floor & a dog legged stair case for the top floors. The space below the stair case in GF can be used for show case & TV. The circular stair case was occupying almost the same space, but the space below the steps couldn't have any much use & also it might have been inconvenient for daily use.

I think it looks good on the paper but to make a code compliant staircase you will have to call a stair company have them do the layout and they will tell you if you have room or not and give you what options you have. In here you wasting your time. With that said, they can probably fit 3' landing with 2 stairs going down and doing 90 degree turn with 10 stairs, that will set you at around 8"+ riser height, here in NJ you can have a riser height 8 1/4" and min thread depth 9" so it might just work. You have to check your local code and see what the stair requirement is for your area and work from there. Good luck

sararahim123 What constitutes an adequate illumination level varies from person to person. What exactly do you require illuminated? If its simply ambient light you would have tiny lights as shown that throw light on the stairs itself. If a bit more is required you could consider adding a railing with a light under. If general illumination is what you are going after, but in a muted way, would suggest wall scones that throw light upwards onto the ceiling, diffusing the light.

Hi Anshul The staircase seems fine, not sure about the clear height you get though. Here are a few tips to make it look spacious: 1. Go for lighter colours for stone flooring and walls 2.
