Sorry for advising, however my suggestion would be: 1) Check the tube level of the wall for plaster. 2) Ensure that the plaster is even 3) You can ask Asian paints home solution for a coat of paint. Don’t look beyond a cement colour. 4) Leading upto the wall have it decked with wood; meaning deck wood flooring. This will accentuate the floor. 5) Buy a Buddha resting on a pedestal. The Buddha must be sculpted in stone. Take care that the face is natural. 6) Get a Carpenter to make a frame work on all four sides with teak and give it a natural finish. 7) Bodhi tree must be silver/ gold finish and must cover atleast 40% of the wall. 8) Have two focus lamps from the top and one warm lighting from the floor level. 9) Just one pot with either artificial or natural bamboo with a few green leaves. Place the cabinet against a different wall and not beneath that beam? There's no need for a false ceiling, instead you could do a simple cornice to soften and enliven the hard line where walls meet ceiling. You could apply the same cornice to the short, hard line where the lower side of the beam meets either wall. Keep it simple. You could even apply cornice ONLY to where the lower edge of the beam meets the walls. It softens the heavy horizontal impression, allowing it to pretend to be a very slight arch. If you're going to repaint, consider using slightly different shades for wall and ceiling. An alternate to the cornice is a shallow horizontal ledge to hold LED cove uplighting along all the walls, at the same height as the lower edge of the beam. If you do this in wood, clad the lower surface of the beam to make a feature of it and to match the cove lighting ledges. Keep the design simple. Hi Sheeba, Your could opt for wallpaper or cladding or texture walls or paneling as mentioned above. You could also consider putting frames around the TV, changing the light above the TV to a beautiful wall light and adding a plant (real or artificial) in the corner.
