From the markings it seems that the stairs entry to first floor is from inside the house. It may be difficult for the people living on the ground floor to open the door every time a first floor resident comes. In case its one family - please excuse the query. I would recommend to reduce porch width and increase the living room width by a ft or two. You can use the smaller room wall for kitchen cabinets as well. Thanks Amit.

I reckon you dont give much importance to vastu as cook needs to face east, entrance door could be north etc; Anyway apart from that if I were you, would just have one bedroom in the g floor and use the first floor front garden for a bedroom instead, create ensuite in place of the first floor lobby or a skylight, any bedroom door should not open from a kitchen (north east ground). The ground floor living dining also needs much more natural light.

as per ur staircase present situation.. u cant..only if u modify the stairs and kitchen one wall, then there will be possibility of line out for dining table
