suggestions required to setup pooja area

i want pooja area to be kept in the L shape of living room in the dining area along with dining table. Thought of using some simple partition between dining table and pooja area. Cannot keep it in any bedroom as all the bedrooms are used regularly. suggestions are highly appreciated.

have closed the kitchen entrance which is on the dining area wall

It's better to have pooja unit in the east direction!

Having a partition is a good idea!

You can even push the dining to the left wall and have the pooja unit near the closed kitchen wall!

We can give a perfect solution if you could a better plan with kitchen updates and North point!

Since the lot you describe is smaller than my open living area, I would suggest looking at some of the "shotgun" house plans around New Orleans,LA. I think you can build up and back and get an interesting home with a loft for space. It can be done, A porch with an entry to a narrow hall at the back might work best for you. Will you plan a courtyard (closed)? or what? What part of the country are you in? What are your local codes?

Ideally pooja should be next to kitchen which is also preferred by most in AP & Bangalore. As per Vasu it should be in East or NorthEast of the flat area & while you pray you should face towards East. occupying foyer area is good but need to divert the flow to avoid walking with footwear in front of pooja room, so need to change the entry which I think difficult from Prestige as they wouldn't accept that change The other option is at Wash Basin However you should hire a professional so that you get right & full guidance. If you've already hired then you can demand to fulfill this requirement as well.

Hello Vineetha, God is everywhere ! If you are going to use the room as a study room then you may very well keep the Pooja room in the same room. Its will be your sacred corner and hope it will bring peace, prosperity and knowledge to the family. That room is already very small in fact at 3200*2300 it is smaller than your kitchen ?Trimming a section from the smallest room to create Pooja room defies our understanding. If you are keen on Vastu- Yes, it is better to have square/rectangle rooms. North east corners are ideal for Pooja and Study. Thanks, Nitin Cornerstone Designs Bangalore.

Gauri As per the plan, you shall initially make a corridor near door entrance through some partitions PVC, and bring the TV cabinet bit more either way of door quite close to the seating area. Then you can have some spaces for artefacts at entrance adjoining wall. Check whether, crockery place could be replaced by Pooja room if possible, as kitchen looks good to me, size ways. Kids room - you can have a wall paper work of required theme behind study table, same way choose the best laminates for your query marvel kind of. Any further information, you can get back from us.
