I need some help please - I live in a tropical country and am building a house with 5 bathrooms - my question is do I need to tile all four walls in every bathroom or can I just tile the shower area and make an 12" / 1' baseboard . Will the wide baseboard look weird ? All advise is greatly appreciated - I need to make a decision fast and I'm so overwhelmed ! Thank you

Hello - do you mean paint for the walls? I have seen many bathrooms in other countries, not just India, that have a combination of paint/tiles so don't understand why this would be an exception

Anita Vitrified tiles by themselves do not particularly allow the walls to breathe, and hence are prone to cracking. That being said they do not collect moss either. If you are however set on using these tiles, I suggest you use them in a mosaic fashion, where smaller tiles or broken pieces are used. This will allow the wall to breathe, though the moss collection might be more due to the greater amount of grating.

sararahim123 What constitutes an adequate illumination level varies from person to person. What exactly do you require illuminated? If its simply ambient light you would have tiny lights as shown that throw light on the stairs itself. If a bit more is required you could consider adding a railing with a light under. If general illumination is what you are going after, but in a muted way, would suggest wall scones that throw light upwards onto the ceiling, diffusing the light.
