Doors' Dilemma | Laminate for room doors

Hi, our apartment currently has off white painted room doors with matching trims (refer to the picture below; there are 4 room doors partially visible from that foyer). We are thinking of getting the doors laminated as the paint quality on the existing doors is very poor. I want to know if the doors and the trims can be different colours (for instance a woodgrain pattern brown door with white trims or anything with white trims...shrug!) or should we stick to the same colour? Also, looking at the attached picture, what colour/pattern laminate would you recommend (all the walls in the attached picture are painted in Iced silver 8236/Asian paints and the ceiling is white, just in case)

Hey!

Normally the door and the trim can differ in colour if there is another element pulling the trim colour on it.
for instance if you have baseboards (which India doesn't) or wainscoting. Then you can use the colour of the trim on those elements. Since yours is a single unit, go for a cohesive whole with the trim and the door.

In case you like paint, go for PU, it'll give you an excellent finish and will last long.

I personally love the while on your doors. so maybe go with a warm white core laminate?

alternatively you could also select a colour from something in your living cum dining space!

Thank you Miloni. While Iove paint, unfortunately I am unable to find someone for PU paint job and therefore will have to make do with the laminate. Any recommendation for warm core laminate? I have browsed through the brochures of Merinolam, Greenlam and Century and quite honestly, I am somewhat underwhelmed :( I would really appreciate if you would be so kind as to suggest something, please. Thank you once again.

Is a tv being place in the room? If not, try creating a seating and conversation area floating in the center of the room....maybe with two small sofas facing each other and a coffee table or ottoman in the center. Or two chairs and a sofa, the two chairs are more versatile for layout options. Good luck!

Priyanka, Wallpaper on doors is not a good idea. You can go for laminate panelling on the wall and matching laminates on the doors. You can choose a veneer as well. The space is too wide for a single door though. You will have to plan accordingly. I am assuming you are talking about the brown door and not the other black door in picture. Hey Farooq, I understand your concern. I have a better idea. Drawing room and Living room does not need to be separated by a wall , you can just have a step up wooden flooring done in the drawing area to define the space. Also as per the plan what I have sent you, you can create a window where you existing Main door is and open up the Main door from drawing room as shown in red. If you still want want a wall between drawing room and living room then you can have it but it's just that I feel you can make your living room look big if you knock of the wall, or you can even create a partition with Jali work or you can even have a low height wall to just define the area. check out some of the images attached :)

I suggest for wood grain pattern preferably in glossy finish...
