Comments (10)I just figured it out: This person is from India (hence no bathtubs - these are wetrooms w/ shower only and a floor drain) and since this is a corner lot hemmed in by neighboring houses, OTS = Open To Sky... ...and that massive staircase probably goes up to the roof where they have their only outdoor space as well as space for hanging laundry, etc. IMO, putting the car on the exposed corner is the worst use of space and light - I'd stash the car on another side against the neighbor's house where there's no light - locating the public rooms and the kitchen along the front of the house and the bedrooms in the back where they don't necessarily need daylight - perhaps through the use of clerestory windows into the public rooms, the light can be borrowed for the center bedroom... Either way, Inkwitch is right (if a bit abrupt) I'd get a new architect who has some talent for efficient small space design to do your home....See MoreIdeas for the wall
Comments (43)This Cabinet is $155 at Ikea. You could take the 4 items you had hung, and put them in a "shadow box", or individual deep frames to tie then together, to create I piece that looks more substantial on the wall, Then add a little ledge for photos, and you would even have room on the cabinet for the cool bottles that were on the floor, and that cool chest could definitely find a home as an end table, or entry table. You could also add a larger plant in a really nice pot in turquoise. The cut and paste renditions arent always completely accurate in scale....See MoreNeed artwork placement ideas for large tv wall
Comments (13)I would put the TV on the wall you have the sofa on now and use the larger wall for your sofa. Right now it looks jammed into the corner. It should be fairly easy for the "cable guy" to move your cable outlet to theother wall if you don't have one there already. Or an entertainment unit would be better for your TV set-up on that wall....See MorePalette Suggestions
Comments (3)the sofa is set against the window and blocking some of the light. In a small room surely you would want maximum light and have the sofa where you could sit and look outside not inside. Instead of painting darker shades you may look at panelling the wall on the left from floor to ceiling in a dark wood veneer or patina steel and paint the rest of the room white for an industrial appeal....See MoreBeth Patrick @ Closet Factory (Cleveland)
