Hi Trailblazer! Essentially a dishwasher should be kept in an accessible location and closer to your crockery unit. Is it possible for you to get rid of some under-counter cabinet space next to the sink to accommodate the dishwasher there? We are renovating our kitchen and I can’t decide if I should put the sink on the kitchen island as opposed to the back wall near the stove where of course there is no possibility of a window. I have always had a window so I’m not sure if in the long run I would miss it. The other option would be to remove the large window 7’ x 5’5” and put a smaller window so that I can put the sink on that side. The designer is saying that the sink in the island would be better just in terms of added cost and I would lose a lot of pantry space if we went the replacement window route. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
