Suraj, First option is not practical. Thirdly have you thought about fans with inbuilt LED lights. They look quite good.

I have one in my current home, but the moment I switch on the light, the fan speed does down, I'd have to look for one which takes a separate wiring for the lights

but angle of light is below the fan blades so it technically shouldn't in any orientation, but anyways I'm moving more towards buying a fan with lighting as I don't want two things to pull attention

Fan with light is not a good option in my opinion ( options r limited)....you can give hanging above d dining and give fan on wall if its possible.

So you mean like a fan on the ceiling, and a linear light hanging mounted on two sides of the fan, hanging parallel to the table. If possible could you please share any inspiration pictures.

If you have access to the room that you shared earlier you can try seeing the flicker effect at night time with both lights and fan being on.

If the lamp has a 360 degree light spread it will cast the fans shadow on the ceiling and when the fan is turned on it causes a flikr effect.

I personally find it a distraction and at the same time many would not even notice it. Take the pick based on your usage.

Wall mounted fans and recessed fans can also be explored.

You could add pendants on either side of the fan by running the wires through a wooden panel about 12" to 18" wide on the ceiling. You could hang both lights and the fan from this panel..

The reason I am suggesting pendant lamps as opposed to fixed ceiling lamps is this: When the light source is above the fan blades, it creates an uncomfortable 'strobe' effect when the lights and fans are switched on at the same time. Pendant lamps should hang from the ceiling, but the lamp shade itself should hang below the height of the fan blades. Of course the lights and fans should have separate controls, ie the two lights could have one switch, and the fan a separate one.

Yeah the idea anyways was to go for pendant lamps, just whether to go for two separate ones or only long mounted on two opposite sides around the fan
